Hangzhou FOREST RESIDENCE

The Forest Retreat Residential is an apartment compound over 50000m² in the metropolitan area of Hangzhou,China. The landscape creates series of forest-like green spaces and courtyards with various scales and programs, between residential towers. The project reflects a simple but sleek design vocabulary that uses 37 species of local plants forming a green paradise full of shades and oxygen. The materials for walls, pavings, and most other hardscapes are mostly in grey tone to reduce heat reflection, while they are also highly crafted in a granular-level details.
