Jul 30, 2026 - Field trip to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing
A group of IF team traveled to 3 major cities in east of China as they were visiting a few recent-built projects for case study activities we do normally during the middle of year. The focus of this visit is to find out the success and new design technologies of urban renewal projects that are well recoginized by public and the profession.
Jun 18, 2026 - IF won the bidding competition of Guomen No.1 Transformation and Upgrade Project
Instinct Fabrication is awarded with a significant renovation project in the northeast corner of Beijing metropolitan near the Capital International Airport. The project is about 50,000 sq.m with emphasis on upgrading its outdated landscape infrastructure and public space surrounded by old convention center buidlings. The project is expected to be fully built and reopen next September, 2027. It will reestablish an green anchor in the district that provides F&B , events and leisure amenities in a park settings.
May 28, 2026 - Ying Lou invited for BJFU's landscape graduates' final project review
IF's chief designer and design director - Ying Lou is invited as jury for the final review for graduate students of Landscape Architecture in Beijing Forestry Univerisity. The review is on a riverfront landscape regenration project as 5 group of students made presentations with their approaches to address the hydrological, cultural, recreational and sustainable issues for this 15 km long abandoned river - Little Moon River in Haidian, Beijing.
May, 2025 - IF Project Built and Openning -Shenzhen iN City Plaza Renovation
After nearly a year and a half of upgrades and renovations, iN City Plaza has officially opened. The 30,000sq.m outdoor public space is the largest of its kind in Shenzhen. IF's landscape strategies for this project presents a unique urban public space through a new "sports + social + dining" model. The design of three circulation routes—the Sports Loop, the Road Loop, and the Nature Loop—creates a new domain for urban social interaction.

Jun 15, 2025 - CyPARK Project promoted on CCTV and People's Daily
The IF urban renewal and renovation project — Chengdu CyPARK — following its coverage by People's Daily ("People's Daily | Trendy Shopping Malls Target Youth Consumption — CyPARK"), was once again featured on June 15 by CCTV's News Live Room, which referred to it as "a new-concept commercial park themed around cycling." The coverage and attention from top national media, together with the sustained visitor numbers and daily consumption figures.
Apr 2025 - IF received two awards from ASLA NCC
On Apr 24, American Society of Landscape Architects Northern California Chapter revealed its Professional Award and Student Award for the year of 2025. Instinct Fabrication's two projects received Merit Awards - CyPARK Chengdu in International Project category and Leetow Mountain Ecology and Recreation Planning in Analysis and Planning category. The other companies receiving the awards include Field Operations, SWA Group, SCAPE. More information about the award.
