HONGSHAN CULTURE PARK
Hongshan Culture Park addresses one of Shenzhen's most intense urban cores: the Hongshan area, a dense residential and transit hub near Shenzhen North Station. Bordered by the Art Museum & Library, a metro station, and retail complexes and massive residentials, the 4.7-acre site was transformed from a logistics block into a public park. This transformation followed three years of deliberation between the government, developers, and residents, answering community demand for preserving green space amidst the "concrete jungle.

CyPARK is a bicycle-friendly retail center that was transformed from an abandoned community complex in Chengdu, China.
Beyond its new appearance as a serene valley park for local fashion enthusiasts and outdoor shoppers, CyPARK incorporates low-carbon practices, native plantings, and on-site materials under limited budget, for a sustainable implementation process.
CRLand Mix-C Market
Located in Luohu, Shenzhen, this mixed-use hub integrates food culture, innovative retail, office, residential, and educational programs into a vibrant urban destination. The design employs a subtle landscape intervention, featuring an integrated ground plane where plaza paving seamlessly connects with the water feature bed to frame the perimeter office lobbies with clean, structured lines. As guests move through the site, the material palette transitions from calm, civic gray tones at the municipal edge to warm, intimate yellow tones within, visually signaling a shift toward relaxation and fostering a strong sense of place.

Instinct Fabrication (IF) is an innovative and experimental design studio focusing on landscape architecture, urban design and environmental strategies. With offices in Beijing, Shenzhen and San Francisco, the studio was founded in 2015 by Ying Lou , the founder and design lead.
The portfolio of IF spans from public urban spaces to residential landscapes and campus design. User experience and the application of new technologies are the trademark of IF's design across all landscape typologies. IF’s projects strive for placemaking that activates the urban realm and encourages users to actively engage with their environment.
